China's clothing exports have negative growth for 11 consecutive months


"This year, China's economic situation is not optimistic. The situation in the garment industry can be described with severity."

On the 17 day, Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of the China Apparel Association attending the annual meeting, said that in terms of exports, Chinese clothing, which has been growing rapidly for many years, has been negative for 11 consecutive months from September last year to August this year.


Henan foundry enterprises foreign trade orders drop

President Li Guosong said that although the growth rate of clothing in Henan increased by more than 20% in the first 9 months of this year, the growth rate has slowed down compared with the previous years, and many OEM (OEM) enterprises' foreign trade orders have declined.


Li Guoqing, general manager of Zhengzhou OEM garment and Garment Co., Ltd., also said that they had clothing brands in Britain, the United States and other countries. But since last year, foreign trade orders have dropped by about 10% due to rising labor costs and other factors.


Prescription


Do not compete in scale and quantity, but strive for brand and value creation.


Then, facing the current economic situation which is not so optimistic, how should the garment enterprises in the Midwest, including Zhengzhou, respond to the increasing cost?


Chen Dapeng's prescription is to change the past quantitative pattern, regulation model and extensive mode of development, take the road of brand promotion and value creation, and work hard in product development, brand building, industrial chain management, terminal channel construction, integration of resources and personnel training.


However, although China's clothing enterprises are facing a grim situation, the growth rate is slowing down, but Chen Dapeng and other Chinese clothing association officials said that the prospect of China's clothing industry can be expected.
