Footwear Market

At the 18th Guangzhou international footwear, leather and Industrial Equipment Exhibition Forum on the 29th session of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's consultant, ference Schmel, said that the key for Chinese shoe-making enterprises to enhance their competitiveness in the international market is to constantly innovate products and provide customers with high-quality and perfect services. In the Forum on the same day, Dr. schmell first analyzed the development trend of global footwear market in the next seven years. He believes that with the increasing global population and the gradual improvement of people's living standards, people's demand for footwear products is bound to increase. Dr. schmell is optimistic that the global annual consumption of shoe products will increase by 10 billion pairs in 2015, reaching 24 billion pairs. All of them will provide good market opportunities for shoes in Asia. Talking about the development prospects of China's footwear industry, schmell said that China is the world's largest producer and exporter of footwear products, accounting for 63% of the world's footwear production, of which 75% are exported to the United States and EU countries. He said that with the increasing domestic demand, the export volume of China's shoe products may decline slightly in the future, and half of the output will be put into the domestic market. At the same time, schmell pointed out that while China and other major footwear producers in Asia ushered in development opportunities, they also faced many challenges. For example, with the continuous improvement of living standards, the wage level of workers in China's coastal areas is increasing at the rate of 40% every year, which increases the labor cost; in addition, the introduction of the new labor contract law, the reduction of VAT rebate, and the rise of logistics costs caused by the relocation of shoe-making enterprises have become the restricting factors for the development of China's shoe-making industry. to this end, he suggested that Chinese shoe-making enterprises should continue to play their own advantages in logistics and transportation, and actively improve their international market competitiveness through product innovation, providing high-quality services and implementing correct and powerful marketing strategies.
