EU Anti-Dumping "Sunset Review" Enters A Substantive Stage. "AOKANG" Represents The Written Reply Of Zhejiang Enterprises.

The EU anti-dumping "sunset review", which has attracted much attention from shoe manufacturers in our province, has entered a substantive stage.

Reporters learned from the provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department today, on the 7 day, the European Commission made a sampling result on the anti-dumping review of Chinese leather shoes, and 7 domestic shoe companies were selected as the EU's respondents. Among them, "AOKANG" is the only Chinese enterprise in the province.

This also marks the entry into the written defense procedure.

The European Commission launched anti-dumping investigations on leather shoes in China and Vietnam in 2005, and imposed a two-year and 16.5% punitive anti-dumping duties on Chinese leather shoes in October 2006.

After the expiry of October this year, the European Union decided to carry out "sunset review" regardless of the objection of local importers and consumers to decide whether to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese leather shoes.

The Deputy Attorney General of the anti-dumping case, Pu Ling Chen, said that before the confirmation of the sampling results, more than 60 shoe enterprises in the country included complaint materials, and the European Commission finally chose 7 as the sample survey enterprises, mainly based on the export volume and export status of enterprises.

Being sucked out means a written defense procedure.

AOKANG Group Import and export company concerned told reporters that in October 30th, the company had received the questionnaire mail sent by the European Commission.

The questionnaire is 80 pages thick, covering almost all aspects of the company's exports to the European Union, and the questionnaire must be submitted to the European Union before December 8th.

At present, "AOKANG" is filling in.

7 enterprises have been investigated and other enterprises have nothing to do.

Wenzhou Leather Association official said that under the current external demand market downturn, a favorable "sunset review" result is of great significance to the whole industry.

Therefore, other enterprises should work together under the leadership of industry associations and take sample enterprises as the core.

According to her introduction, at present, the three shoe industry organizations in Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong have joined forces to represent the Chinese leather shoes enterprises to carry out industrial non injury defenses and cooperate actively with foreign related industries and importers.
