The company disclosed its latest achievements, which adjusted the goal of sustainable development and challenged its performance to double growth by 2020 and reduced its environmental impact by half.

In 2015, the company announced a lofty goal - to achieve an annual income of $50 billion by 2020, and claimed that the company plans to adopt zero waste before 2020, that is, contract production.

At first, no waste materials were sent to the burial field or incineration treatment, so no energy recovery was needed and all the products were purchased from the contract plant to conform to the definition of the sustainability of the enterprise.

In addition, it will create and provide the "smallest but highest performance" product to seek a footprint reduction of 10% in the average environment and to increase the use of more sustainable materials as a whole.

These goals are part of the Nike's new "moon challenge" plan. Three main goals of the company are to reduce its impact on the environment, change its manufacturing process and release human potential, so as to achieve double growth but reduce the impact on the environment by half.

Minimize environmental footprint

The goal of Nike is to achieve product life cycle, focusing on carbon sources and energy, chemicals, water and waste disposal to identify strategies that are less, better, and innovative new solutions and, where possible, achieve closed-loop and reutilization.

Transformation of manufacturing industry

In order to provide innovative products to consumers, Nike is committed to technology driven manufacturing through high skilled and high value workers placed in more sustainable factories in the core position.

Nike is also working on pilot research projects designed specifically for workers to participate in and connect to medical, educational and financial networks, so that both the inside and outside of the workplace are positively and positively changing.

Release human potential

Nike is aiming at adapting to the diversity of consumers in the world and increasing the recruitment, promotion and diversification of talents in the community where their employees live and work.

Therefore, Nike expands the representation of women and coloured races and continues to maintain the diversity of all levels of the business at the same time.

Nike is also launching a new family care program in the United States to support all new parents and employees who need to take care of sick family members.

New parents or family members who are in need of care will receive an additional 8 weeks of paid vacation.

"What we are doing is not increasing efficiency, but a more ambitious aspiration."

This is a challenge for us, partners and partners to move towards the future recycling economy.

Hannah Jones, director of Nike sustainable development office, said.

On the occasion of the Nike's new vision, the group released its latest sustainable development report. In the 2015 financial statements, it revealed that while more than 1 billion products were shipped, the carbon emissions decreased by 18%, while the water efficiency in the manufacture of garments and footwear also increased by two digits.

Nike is also working with some contract factories, where 86% of the factories have invested in workers, at least reaching the Nike level of Nike Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing Index.

Nike also improved the sustainability of its products. The design provided a product with lower environmental impact but better performance. 98% new shoes obtained a silver grade or higher product persistence index, while 80% of the new garments were evaluated with copper grade or better.

"In Nike, we think it is not enough to cope with the future light. We create the future through sustainable innovation.

Today, our team is creating new business models and partnerships to expand our business and get unprecedented changes in this industry.

Nike president and CEO Mark Parker said.
