Replacement Of PVA New Slurry Production And Application Of New Technology Promotion

Xu Kunyuan, honorary president of the Federation of industry, director of science and Technology Development Department of China Textile Industry Federation, Li Jinbao, President of China printing and dyeing industry association, Zhu Beina, President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, and more than 100 representatives from cotton spinning and dyeing industry all over the country.


Xu Kunyuan said that the production of new modified starch slurry and the key technology of replacing PVA application as the national science and technology support project in 11th Five-Year are outstanding achievements of the combination of industry, education and research, and are major technological breakthroughs in the textile industry.

He asked relevant departments and enterprises to intensify publicity and promotion of this technology, promote the convergence between upstream and downstream, continue to explore and study the problems arising from the application of the technology, promote the energy conservation, environmental protection and sustainable development of the textile industry, and strive for the strategic goal of the industry.


At the meeting, Zhu Beina issued the initiative to abandon the PVA application of new modified starch sizing, and hoped that the industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises should establish the concept of cleaner production and attach importance to energy conservation and environmental protection sizing.

She also revealed that the association will set up a joint working group to strengthen testing and further popularize PVA free sizing.


The development and application of new modified starch slurry production and replacement of key technologies in PVA application have solved the problems of excessive consumption of PVA in the traditional sizing formula, wastewater generated from slurry production, desizing, printing and dyeing wastewater, and so on. This has improved the environmental protection and Textile Ecology of textile sizing production, improved the handle of printed and dyed fabrics, and met the requirements of water saving, energy saving and emission reduction.

The technology was jointly completed by Lu Tai, Donghua University, Wuhan Textile University and Changzhou run Li four.


After the meeting, the delegates visited the Lu Tai creative experience center and the three weaving factory.
